All Hallows' Eve

I got home a little late last night, courtesy of some really slow traffic, and so I missed the first few trick-or-treaters. We got the usual assortment of wizards, princesses, bunnies, bloody Scream masks, and the like. There were two separate Dorothys, which I think is a great costume for a little girl.

However, I'd change the Dorothy costume slightly. I think a great Halloween version of the Dorothy costume (or any cutesy costume, for that matter) would be to add fangs. That way, when the people giving out candy say "Oh, aren't you adorable?!?", the little girl can just open her mouth wide and hiss really loud. Wouldn't that be disturbing?

Anyway, despite the rain and the cold, we got about fifty (ok, exactly fifty-two) visitors, not counting doting parents. Allison carved four pumpkins again this year, pictures of which I'll post if I get around to it. We didn't go too crazy with the holiday this year.

On another note, today (All Saints' Day) is my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Woo-hoo! Congratulations, Mom & Dad! Now remember to wear fangs in any anniversary photos - that'd be disturbing, too.
