Politics As Usual

Oh, this latest bit about Bush's DWI arrest is just hilarious. Imagine the depths you can take this to! The Republicans accuse the Democrats of 'dirty tricks'. The Democrats deny having anything to do with it.

My friend John here at work suggested that perhaps the Republicans released the information in a way that makes it look like the Democrats did it, with the hope of generating some anti-Gore backlash. Now how is that for convoluted logic? That'd be extraordinarily risky, which is why no one would seriously suspect them of doing it - the perfect crime!

Personally, I can't wait until next Tuesday. I get to cast my vote for the man whom I think will do the least damage over the next four years. Plus, we won't have to hear pseudo news articles about each candidates latest ads. For some reason, that really bugs me - an advertisement is not news. I am also looking forward to voting on the state referenda. Typically, I manage to pick the minority position on every question - we'll see if I can maintain my batting average this year.

On a side note, I did manage to get a 3D picture to work with the goggles yesterday. So if you want to see one 3D picture of Acadia (Great Head, I believe), stop over and don the Spectacles of Dimensionality! Better yet, go to Acadia and see the real thing - it won't give you a headache in the process.

You can respond to my ranting here.

You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you rant.
