The Pool Is Closed

It's been  since our pool closed in 1999. It was open for 137 days. I managed to capture almost every deceased rodent, amphibian, and significant arachnid on film (this year I went digital) for transfer to this gallery of the grotesque.

October 14, 1999

Another pool season has drawn to a close. The pool guys came while we were at work yesterday, and the pool is now covered. I don't know if it has been totally closed yet, but the cover should keep all of our little woodland friends safe for a few months. As for those that insist on burrowing under the cover - they'll reap the harvest they have sown.
