Allison's 40th Birthday Celebration

The weather was threatening the whole day, but I had rented a tent, so what could possibly go wrong? Well, eventually it did start raining, but that just added to the fun as I tried to walk with the cake (with all forty candles burning) under an umbrella fast enough to keep the cake reasonably dry and yet slow enough to keep the candles lit.

Later in the evening, a bad case of karaoke broke out, and I have the movie clips to prove it. Someday the Parlengas boys are going to have to pony up a lot of cash to prevent certain footage from being revealed - but I digress. Despite the weather, and the frigid pool (thanks, Amerigas!), a good time was had by all.

Sorry for the relative paucity of pictures, but I was a little busier than usual at this party. I think I like being a guest better than a host. And I don't like being a guest all that much, so... you get the picture. Or seventeen pictures, at least.
